About Me

My photo
Learning is like cooking from scratch; you start with some basic ingredients (like you, me and this blog) then have fun experimenting. That's how I learned to cook and entertain. Learning on your own has one drawback-it takes longer. When my first child was born I knew I did not want to feed him the same way I ate, boxed mac and cheese. Slowly I traded the Standard American Diet for a healthier way of eating which includes adhering to biblical food laws laid out in God's Word. I'm not a chef or professional cook, so what I teach is every day, healthy (sometimes), no frills cooking meant to get you competent in the kitchen or launched into more. I have been homeschooling for nineteen years and the greatest gift I can give my children is the love of Messiah, His Word and a life long love of learning. I hope I can share that with you too. We have had so much good fellowship in our home, graduation parties, 4th of July picnics, a bridal shower, a wedding, birthdays, that now my daughters and I are being asked to help other people with their big events. So join me, in the kitchen, because isn't that the heart of the home.
